Fireworks, performances to mark start of Canada's 150th year

A Canada Day custom is being repurposed tonight to herald the beginning of Canada's 150th yr. An enormous fireworks show over Parliament Hill -- often reserved for July 1 -- will happen at eight:17 japanese time and midnight to mark the start of 2017 and a year-long birthday bash throughout the nation.
