For a few years, Inukjuak, like many communities within the north, has relied on diesel to warmth houses, maintain the lights on, and energy its establishments. Now, for the primary time within the area, development is underway on an enormous hydroelectric undertaking. When it is accomplished, it is going to substitute diesel on the group's main supply of power, and supply a surplus which Inukjuak will promote to Hydro-Quebec.
