Man who allegedly killed Quebec police officer had long history of violence, mental health issues

The person who allegedly killed a Quebec provincial police (SQ) officer on Monday had an extended historical past of violence detailed in courtroom paperwork. Sgt. Maureen Breau was fatally stabbed whereas making an attempt to arrest a person on accusations of uttering threats in Louiseville close to Trois-Rivieres. Two different officers then shot and killed the person.
