Mournful Mother's Day for bereaved families as cemetery labour standoff continues

Bereaved households are calling on Quebec’s premier to become involved in a labour dispute that has stored Canada’s largest cemetery closed for 5 months. The wrought-iron gates of Montreal’s Notre-Dames-Des-Neiges cemetery have been shut to the general public since mid-January because of a strike by operations and upkeep staff, aside from a couple of days in early spring.
